Our why is to point others to an abiding relationship with God characterized by loving God with all, sacrificially loving each other, and living to extend God's glory in all aspects of our lives.

At FFWBC of Blackwell, we believe the most critical part of the Christian’s life is a personal, genuine, and intimate relationship with Christ. A relationship where we do not casually visit but constantly abide in. Only from this abiding, personal, and intimate relationship with Christ can our why of “Loving God, Loving Others, and Extending His Glory” become a reality. All aspects of the Christian life flow from a relationship with Christ. “A relationship produces godliness; godliness does not produce a relationship.” This relationship is characterized by remaining, relinquishing, and relying.
Remaining is a constant relationship where we seek to abide in the True Vine, Christ—seeking Him desperately and relinquishing to Christ as our Lord and Workman. As we constantly remain, our Workman molds us into a clearer image of Him. Then we must rely! The Christian has to come to the humble position where we understand our walk is totally and utterly dependent on the empowerment and enablement of the Holy Spirit. It is as Jesus tells us in John 15:5. “I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without me.”
